FreeBalance Invited to Deliver Presentation at 16th Annual ESAAG Conference in Kigali, Rwanda

Presentation to address implementation of IPSAS and regional public financial management reform

Ottawa, Canada (February 20, 2009) - FreeBalance, a global provider of software solutions for public financial management (PFM), is pleased to announce that the company has been invited to deliver a presentation at the 16th Annual Eastern and South African Association of Accountants General (ESAAG) Conference. The ESAAG event will take place from February 23 to 26 in Kigali, Rwanda. The FreeBalance presentation will address the implementation and impact of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and public financial management reform programs in Africa and beyond.

ESAAG supports the improvement of the democratic processes through transparency and accountability and by strengthening of the government accounting profession. ESAAG member countries include Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia Rwanda South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Over 300 delegates from member countries and the international public financial management and accounting community are expected. FreeBalance has been a strong supporter of ESAAG since first participating as an exhibitor and sponsor of the 2006 conference in Maseru, Lesotho.
