Government of Sierra Leone Presents at International Public Financial Management Conference in Lesotho

Ministry of Finance official shares country experience with Financial Management Reforms

FreeBalance is pleased to announce that Mr. Winston Cole, Head of the Public Financial Management Reform Unit in Sierra Leone, made a presentation at the Eastern and South African Association of Accountants General (ESAAG) Annual International Conference in Maseru, Lesotho.

The ESAAG event took place on February 20-22 and focused on the theme of "Meeting the Challenges of Public Financial Management Reforms in East & Southern Africa in the 21st Century". Mr. Cole's presentation explored the Sierra Leone country experience with public financial management reforms.

FreeBalance Government Accountability Solutions are being used by the Government of Sierra Leone as part of the government-wide Institutional Reform and Capacity Building Project. The project is viewed as a critical step in the Government’s program of decentralization, improved public financial management, and the achievement of its rehabilitation and poverty reduction goals.
