Business Analyst
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare functional specifications and use cases for financial management, human capital management, budget management or e-government applications
- Provide support to development, professional services and customer care
- Applies independent judgment, discretion and analysis in understanding customer business issues to meet expanding or changing business requirements
- Assist with documenting, communicating and enforcing the delivery processes
Education and Experience:
- University degree or college diploma, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in Inventory and Business Process Modeling
- Detailed knowledge of financial management or human capital processes and systems
- Solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures, particularly in the public sector
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Interest in and knowledge about developing nations

Solution Analyst
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and recommendations regarding appropriate use of the FreeBalance Government Accountability Software
- Conduct business requirements review with the client and prepare requirements analysis and system/configuration design related to required government accounting functions;

Main Responsibilities:

Software Analyst
As a Software Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our on-going success by delivering quality and timely development services during the implementation of our products to our customers for all project deployments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Interacts with client on a regular basis to understand their processes, identify gaps with good practices, conducts and delivers the business analysis requirements specifications.
- Interacts with other project team members.
- Developing reports using JasperSoft/ Crystal Reports tools
- Interrogate and manipulate the database to develop reports
- Write scripts and work with relational databases (MS SQL and Oracle)

- Is able to analyze and provide technical functional specifications based on business processes.
Education and Experience:
- University degree in Computer, Systems Engineering or Software Programming.
- 5 year experience in applications system development (full SDLC)
- Knowledge and or background in installing and supporting enterprise software, ability to write ANSI SQL scripts with solid understanding of relational database such as Oracle 10G and/or MS SQL 2005.
- Work experience directly using SQL Scripts and reports/form development using Jasper Soft/Crystal Reports tools

Quality Assurance Specialist
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist at FreeBalance, you will play a key role in test planning, test development and execution based on functional and technical specifications of existing products and upcoming new technology platform products. You work well within a dynamic team and can communicate effectively with developers, product managers, and business analysts. You possess a multi-cultural awareness and are comfortable interfacing with clients, both local and internationally.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide feedback to Sales, Product Management and Development on technical issues and future product requirements based on interaction with clients
- Design and conduct new Test Plans and Test Cases for each product release and execute against these to meet Product Delivery timelines
- Automate all Test Cases using IBM Robot, Win Runner, QA Run or other open source automation tool
- Collect and Analyze Test Metrics to enable quality improvements for the FreeBalance product suite
- Suggests improvements based on experience.
Education and Experience:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or any technical discipline or equivalent work experience
- 1 year experience in previous software Quality Assurance role
- Experience with windows scripting, writing ANT/NANT scripts or batch files considered an asset
- Knowledge of database concepts and ANSI SQL
- Experience with application servers such as JBoss, Websphere, IIS or any open source middle tier

Project Manager
As a Project Manager at FreeBalance you will be responsible for all aspects of managing the implementation of FreeBalance Government Accountability Software using solid project management principles and applying technology to government business operations. Key to the Project Manager position is the ability to demonstrate previous experience with ERP systems and understanding of Human Resource and Payroll practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the programs/projects to meet the contractual obligations of the contract, controlling the project scope, schedule and budget
- Work closely with the customer providing status updates to senior officials including project steering committee.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, including meeting the project schedules and WBS tasks, submitting quality deliverables and maintaining the project’s responsibility matrix
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Assess and minimize our exposure and risk on project.
- Ensure project documents are complete prior to submission to the customer and stored appropriately
- Use effective leadership skills to direct all phases of programs from inception through completion to include planning, evaluating whether working as a team or independently
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
- Provide mentoring for project management best practices and techniques
Education and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will be a graduate from university specializing in Finance and/or Business Administration or equivalent discipline, with experience in IT
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with establishing financial/accounting policies and procedures
- Demonstrated skills in working with public sector accounting concepts and procedures (cash, modified accrual, accrual and budgeting)
- Project Management Certification
- Previous experience with ERP Systems utilizing Human Resources and Payroll modules
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and deploying software applications, gathering and documenting client’s requirements, particularly for the implementation of software applications
